CardGlyph is a studio for designing your own original cards. These guidelines explain what you can make here,
especially with the AI art generator. By creating an account you agree to follow them, along with our
Terms of Service.
The short version
Make original work. No copyrighted characters, and no other companies' games, logos or card designs.
No named artists' styles from living or modern artists or card illustrators. Describe the style instead.
No real people: no celebrities, public figures or private individuals.
No sexual content or nudity. Anything sexual involving minors is reported to the authorities.
Fantasy violence is fine; graphic gore is not.
Only upload images and fonts you have the right to use.
Blocked AI requests never cost you an image.
What you can make
Your own characters, creatures, worlds and card games.
Fantasy and sci-fi art: battles, monsters, weapons and heroic action, including some blood.
Art in the manner of art movements and historical masters, for example "art nouveau", "ukiyo-e" or
"in the style of Rembrandt".
Cards for your own games, gifts and tabletop groups.
What you can't make
Copyrighted or trademarked characters: characters from films, cartoons, comics, anime or video games,
or named characters from existing card games.
Other companies' games and brands: their game names, logos, symbols, card frames, or card designs
meant to look like theirs.
The style of a named living or modern artist, or of any trading-card illustrator.
Real people: celebrities, politicians, streamers, friends, or yourself (for now).
Sexual content or nudity, including suggestive images of anyone.
Anything sexual involving minors. Zero tolerance: the account is closed and the content is reported to
the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, as the law requires.
Graphic gore and cruelty: torture, mutilation, real-world atrocities.
Hate and harassment: hate symbols, slurs, content targeting a person or group.
Self-harm: content that promotes or depicts it.
How the AI generator checks requests
Every prompt is checked before an image is made, and every result is checked before you see it.
If something is blocked, you aren't charged, and you'll see a short explanation.
The checks are automatic and sometimes wrong. Use "Think this is a mistake?" and we'll review it.
We keep prompts for up to 30 days, and blocked prompts for up to 90 days, to prevent abuse.
Your uploads
Only upload images, fonts, frames and symbols you made or have permission to use.
Members' cloud projects are visible only to them. We don't publish them.
If a rights holder sends a valid copyright notice about something you stored, we remove it and tell you, and
you can send a counter-notice. Accounts with repeated valid notices are closed.
What happens if the rules are broken
A prompt names a character, brand or artist: we block it and explain. No penalty.
Repeated attempts at sexual content: a warning, then AI access is locked after 3 attempts in 30 days.
Anything sexual involving minors: the account is closed immediately and reported.
Repeated valid copyright notices: the account is closed.
Fraudulent payments: the account is locked.
Images or membership time lost because of a rules violation are not refunded.
